Beau MacDougall has a playing style all his own – one that’s both exciting and compelling! A seasoned veteran as a professional in multiple areas of the industry! Beau MacDougall’s first album “This Side of Heaven” was released in 1982 and was Grammy Nominated the same year! All songs were written by Beau and one which Andrae’ Crouch and Beau both collaborated. Relocating to St. Louis in the early 80’s, Beau associated and played with the locals there, Sheryl Crow, Ralph Butler, Jay Oliver, Dave Weckl, Dan Peek and others! Beau has performed three times at England’s prestigious “GreenBelt Festivals” backing Sir Cliff Richard, Larry Norman and Jesse Dixon. Fender Musical Instruments contacted Beau and offered him a position as resident “Guitar Clinician”/Sales Training Director! Taking on the challenge, Beau performed guitar clinics at numerous locations around the world, sometimes with guitar greats Robben Ford, Jerry Donahue, James Burton and Ray Flacke! Beau has also toured internationally performing extensively in the countries of England, Italy, Australia, Holland, Belgium, Canada, Germany, as well as 49 states of the USA.
Having studied from master guitarist Ted Greene and later from his all time favorite guitarist, Buzz Feiten, Beau has grown to be a world class guitarist. His sessions, songwriting and “life experiences” have seasoned him into a true artist! Since His move to Dallas/FortWorth Beau has been very busy with mainstay Texas artists such as Joe King, Mike Ryan, Guthrie Kennard, Chris McCandless, Pete Thompson, Shawn Trey Miller, Buddy Whittington, Mace Maben, Andrew “Jr.Boy” Jones, Jon Smith, Debra James, Skeeter Davis, Alan Connor, Rocky Lott, Rachel Stacy, Jimmy Wallace, Scott Copeland and others!
